Women Shaping the Evolution of Engineering

Organized by the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa, Enginuity'24 was an impactful virtual panel discussion held on 17th of August 2024, under the inspiring theme "Empowering Women in Engineering." The event brought together professionals and undergraduates for an insightful discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges faced by women in the field of engineering.

The panel featured three exceptional women who shared their experiences and expertise from various engineering sectors.

Mrs. Pulani Ranasinghe, Founder and CEO of Loons Lab, who shared her entrepreneurial journey in the IT sector and discussed the evolving landscape of technology, highlighting key trends and innovations.

Ms. Anjalika Diyawadena, Executive Garment Technologist at MAS Active Linea Intimo Pvt Ltd, who explored the role of technology in transforming the textile industry, with a focus on garment manufacturing and sustainable practices.

Ms. Madhushika Munasinghe, Civil Engineer at Escas Power (Pvt) Ltd, who provided valuable perspectives on the advancements and challenges within the civil engineering sector.

Through their stories, the panelists shed light on how women in engineering are overcoming barriers and making impactful contributions to their industries.
