Empowering Young Minds Through Education
The IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa successfully conducted Nena Sawiya' 2024, a three-day seminar series held at Moratuwa De Zoysa Maha Vidyalaya on the 26th, 28th, and 30th of August 2024, starting from 8.00 AM onwards. This meaningful initiative was designed to support students preparing for the Ordinary Level (O/L) examination, by strengthening their understanding in core subjects and helping them face the upcoming exams with confidence.
The program featured subject-specific sessions covering Mathematics, Science, and English, with detailed paper discussions and interactive explanations led by dedicated undergraduate volunteers. In addition to academic support, students were provided with useful exam strategies, time management tips, and motivational guidance to help them perform at their best.
The classrooms were filled with eager minds, enthusiastic interactions, and a genuine passion for learning. Volunteers not only shared their knowledge but also built strong connections with students, creating an encouraging environment for academic and personal growth.
Nena Sawiya' 2024 was a true testament to the power of mentorship and community involvement in education. It reflected the spirit of giving back and showed how even small acts of guidance can leave a lasting impact.
